I AM AN IRISH EXCHANGE STUDENT! STARTING SCHOOL IN AUSTRALIA IN A FEW WEEKS! Need some help on yor culture!?
I am from ireland, but i'm from the north, so my accent isnt "top of thee marnin te ye!" Its a northern irish accent, but its slightly american too. More irish though but not as strong as most. Do you guys like it? Give me some clothing advice, what to you guys wear in summer and winter? By the way i'm a 16 year old girl. I like my own style, Converse wearing, skinny jeans or skirt with colored tights and stuff. Ok also will i look like a complete retard?? or tell me what you think? Because i'm from ireland i have EXTREMLY pale skin, with some freckles on my face and arms. Dark brown wavy thick hair and green eyes. I'm also 5'5 and quite skinny but curvy!! So think i will fit in? people make fun of me? Or what are your thoughts?? also if u have any advice through it my way! do you guys like irish people or do you hate us and our accents?? just any comment! thanks :) xxx

gahaa even though u dont have the "top of the mornin to ya" accent if you say ur irish we'll probs say that to u anyways. Ok well im 14 and in winter i usually wear converses skinny jeans jumpers tees and dresses with like stockings and in summer i wear like mini short tees singlets thongs(um flip flops?) and dresses and umm not many people wear skirt with coloured tights no moree depends wat ur definition of "extremely pale" is a few of my friends come from england and scotland and they have really pale skin and freckly arms and legs. I dont think you'll stand out coz if you spend a few weeks here in summer you'll tan. And if you dont you can always get a fake tan if your really worried bout ur skin plaeness yerr u probs fit in but people well probs bag out ur irishness and accent hah wen i think irish i think ranga freckly short and funny accent who wears green so pretty much leprecorn hahaha

Style is up to the individual, we have people that dress like complete retards, and others that don't. But thats how trends start. You shouldn't have a problem fitting in, we are a very multicultural nation, the only thing that would make you stand out is your accent (people may make fun of it and might say "typical" Irish sayings like "Top of the mornin to ya" but thats just because they are fascinated by your accent. BECAUSE IRISH PEOPLE ARE AWESOME!!!!! True story that is :) Irish skin, be careful. Just don't stay out in the sun too long or you'll end up REALLY red (sun-burnt) and its not a nice feeling at all, though your skin might tan really easy, but just be careful. Theres no such thing as a healthy tan......or so the Australian Government says. We love Irish people, a lot of our families are originally from Ireland, like mine for example. My dad and his parents come from Ireland. So I think you'll fit in just fine. Always remember to have fun and DON'T FORGET TO SMILE :)
