California or Australia. Which are the Top Business School in this places

California or Australia. Which are the Top Business School in this places?
I'm 33 years old from Colombia. I spend a lot of years dedicated to business, and also International social working. I'm concedering on going to Business School, as an Old non-traditional college student. I like Southern California, and East-Coast Australia, because It's important for me to study near beaches with good waves for surfing. I have been surfing since I was a Kid. Thanks.

If you want some good surf, I would have to say UCSD. Blacks is almost within walking distance of the campus. I think that UCSD has the best surf in California http://www.surfline.com/reports/report_travel.cfm?id=4245

I don't know much about Australia as I've never been there, but I've been living in San Diego, California for most of my life. I agree that UCSD is definitely one of the top schools in California to go to. SDSU has a strong Business Department, and is really competitive. Only bad thing about SDSU from an academics standpoint is that there's a lot of distractions. From the Fraternities, to Sororities, and Parties, there's so much to distract you. UCSD has some of that, but clearly not as much. There are miles and miles of great surf within biking and driving distance to UCSD. In the South, there's good surf in Point Loma/ Sunset Cliffs, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Windansea, La Jolla/ Scripps Pier, Black's Beach north of La Jolla, 15th Street in Del Mar, Cardiff Reef, Swami's, etc. I've left out a bunch of surf spots, but these are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

If you are interested in social work you will want to go to school for an MSW not a business degree. There are good schools in southern CA and in Australia. DA

Well if you're in an Australian high school, they usually want: at least Advanced English, Advanced Maths, one or two sciences (biology and chemistry), and the rest doesn't matter but you want to choose Board of Studies approved subjects rather than those TVET/ vocational subjects with optional HSC exams. Most importantly is to get your marks as high as possible since most medicine courses have cut-off ATARs? (they used to be UAIs) in the 90s. And make sure you bring a heck lot of devotion and such with you, it's like 6 years of fairly intensive undergraduate study alone, and anything up to 15 or so years to specialise in something. Good luck! PS Don't forget to sit the UMAT in year 12.

In Southern California, the best business school is the Anderson School at UCLA. This is assuming that you already have a bachelor's degree and are planning on getting an MBA. If you do not, then USC is probably the best of the undergraduate programs in the area. I'll let the Australians speak for themselves!

G'day, Australia East-Coast... then Brisbane, Gold Coast even Cairns will be the one to go. Some may argue that the university belongs to The Group of 8 (www.go8.edu.au) are the 'famous' one. However they group was formed just to unify the promotional effort. The members cannot claim that they are the best at everything that they offers. There are only 42 (soon to be 43) universities in Australia, all of them are fully accredited and they are tightly regulated, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content. There are quite alot of Australian universities offering business courses to international students. To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to Dept of Education, Science and Technology (http://cricos.dest.gov.au) and IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au) online databases. The information abt fees & requirements can be found in the university's website. Please make sure that you access the information for internationals students, since some requirements, application form and fees are different than Australians'. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification. You may also need to submit an IELTS test results for proof of your English proficiency (www.ielts.org) You will need to find the area of business that you want to specialise in. This may be marketing/accounting/MBA etc. Check if the uni's are offering the area. Hope this helps. Good luck for your study :)

In our school we use to have this exchange student who was a junior but then he went back to Australia after the semester, i guess he became a senior then and I looked in his facebook and it says that he goes to a college named Oxley
2 :
Most "normal" schools won't take mature age students, but there are adult-education institutions that will allow you to study for your HSC in NSW, so I'm guessing there'd be similar things in Victoria. Check your TAFEs, they'd be a good place to start.

If you turn 15 on or after the first day of the school term then that is the limit you can leave at the end of the year. So that's about 15 and 9 months. There is no official limit to oldest age, only by school policy.

19 - once you reach 20 you cant enrol in high school in Australia UNLESS you are talking about a small regional school that has no TAFE or similiar within a huge distance. A friend of mine went back to school in her 40s but she was in a small country town and th nearest TAFE was over 300km away - but this is an unusual situation.
