I have never heard of this happening in Australia. Otherwise it would have been all over the news. This would certainly be considered as a violation of someones rights, and the parents would jump up and down about it. Strip searching is only allowed at an airport by security officers. Or in a police station or jail. :-)

I cannot imagine any circumstances where any school needed to strip search a student. If a serious crime was suspected, the police should be dealing with it.
